Evening Prayer – A time of prayer will be held before the evening service at 5.20 pm. All welcome.
Hope Explored: We plan to run a three-week course beginning on the 24th of October. The course explores the meaning of biblical hope and touches on the key elements of what it means to be a Christian. This course is suitable for anyone who wants to explore further about the Christian faith. We will meet at Fortrose Free Church at 7.30pm on Tuesday evenings for three weeks, beginning on the 24th of October. Please do come along and bring a friend!
Harvest Thanksgiving: There will be a harvest thanksgiving service on Wednesday the 9th of November.
Congregational winter read: “Only One Life, Missions Stories from Around the World”, by Paul M. Harvey. Only £6. Fancy reading a book over the winter with others? Christian Focus Publications have given us a massive discount on the above book. A group will meet two or three times over the winter to discuss some of the stories in the book. Why not get the book, and perhaps join us for informal chats about it? The books can be purchased at the door.

“New Song Women” – Our women’s choir has a new name! “New Song Women” will meet on alternate Friday evenings and Saturday mornings, as intimated, starting October 27th. More details to follow.
An Evening of praise with Ruth Campbell. Date: 3rd November. Ruth is a member in the Free Church congregation of Covenant Church Newmilns and is a talented Christian singer song writer. Put the date in the diary and come along and bring a friend.
Testimony evening – After the evening service on the 5th of November Isaac Gajendran will speak about how he came to faith and also about the church in India.
Quiz in support of Damaris House
When? Friday 10th November at 7pm.
Where? Fortrose Free Church.
Please come along, invite friends and family and enjoy the evening. There are multiple choice questions, picture rounds and questions for different interests from chocolate to China, Frozen to Finland, The Beano to boxing. Teams of up to six. You can be allocated a team on the night.
Donations will be for Damaris House in Athens which supports women and their children who have been the victims of trafficking. Tea/coffee and goodies will be provided and there will be a short talk on the work of Damaris House.
2024 Calendars are now available at the door with a suggested donation of £5. We are grateful to Sandy Sutherland for producing these and allowing the proceeds to stay with the congregation. There are only around 30 left, so be sure to get yours before they are gone.
