Evening Prayer – A time of prayer will be held before the evening service at 5.20 pm. All welcome.
Communion services: Unfortunately, we have had to change the date of the upcoming communion from the 27th of August to the 3rd of September. Apologies for any inconvenience. There will be a fellowship meeting after the evening service where we hope to hear some stories of God’s work in people’s lives.
November – Rev. Colin Macleod, Gairloch, will take services on Saturday night, 25th, and Sunday, 26th . Community Groups: Our first community group meeting will take place on Wednesday 6th September. We hope that you will be able to attend. You will be placed into one of two groups, the ‘town’ group or the ‘countryside’ group. More details will follow in the coming weeks.
Annual Congregational Meeting: The ACM is provisionally in the diary for the 13th of September.
The popular ETS Saturday Course is due to resume on Saturday 16th September. This runs once a month from Sep 23 to Apr 24 at ETS in Edinburgh but, good news, as with previous years we are invited to join a ‘satellite’ viewing of the lectures at Knockbain Free Church (North Kessock). These are normally 1 or 2 weeks after the live lectures. Although the lectures form part of a diploma in theology course which requires extra reading and writing essays, many people simply listen to the lectures and find them of great benefit in their spiritual growth. If you want to go along to the satellite viewings at Knockbain please send an email to Iain Gray iaingray89@hotmail.com by the 23rd of Aug and he will let you know the planned dates, times and cost. Niall and Emma attended the lectures last time round and thoroughly enjoyed it. If you have any questions please ask them.
More details can be found on the ETS Website (https://ets.ac.uk/saturday-course-23-24/).
2024 Calendars are now available at the door with a suggested donation of £5. We are grateful to Sandy Sutherland for producing these and allowing the proceeds to stay with the congregation. He says, “Thanks to everyone who supported the Black Isle Photo Calendar over the five years of
its charitable production.”
