Evening Prayer – A time of prayer will be held before the evening service at 5.20 pm. All welcome.

Café & Blether this Tuesday will be a Macmillan Coffee Morning. If you feel able to contribute any home baking, we would be most grateful. We would love to see you all there.

Curry Night – We are delighted that Mr. David Forbes will be speaking on his experiences in India. We are also calling for any men who can make a curry! The men will be treating the women to curry on Saturday the 7th of October. If any men feel they have the requisite skills to make a pot of curry, please indicate your willingness and what type of curry you would be able to make on the sign-up sheet at the entrance. Also, if any of our young folk are willing to help with serving on the night, please indicate your willingness on the sign-up sheet as well. Thank you.

Hope Explored: We plan to run a three-week course beginning on the 24th of October. The course explores the meaning of biblical hope and touches on the key elements of what it means to be a Christian. This course is suitable for anyone who wants to explore further about the Christian faith. We will meet at Fortrose Free Church at 7.30pm on Tuesday evenings for three weeks, beginning on the 24th of October. Please do come along and bring a friend!

There has been a request for toiletries from some of the folks in our congregation who are filling Blythswood shoeboxes. If you are able to
donate any items, they are looking for: >Men’s & Women’s toiletries >Toothpaste & toothbrushes >One size gloves. Any donated items can be left near the front door.

Youth lunch starts back next Sunday, 24th September after the morning service at Dave and Sally’s house. As well as lunch together, we plan to look at the “I am” statements of Jesus in John’s gospel. Please pray that they would grow in their relationship with Jesus.

An Evening of praise with Ruth Campbell. Date: 3rd November. Ruth is a member in the Free Church congregation of Covenant Church Newmilns and is a talented Christian singer song writer. Put the date in the diary and come along and bring a friend.

Testimony evening – After the evening service on the 5th of November Isaac Gajendran will speak about how he came to faith and also about the church in India.

2024 Calendars are now available at the door with a suggested donation of £5. We are grateful to Sandy Sutherland for producing these and allowing the proceeds to stay with the congregation.
