The Deacons Court has decided to progress with installing Acoustic Panels in the Fellowship Hall. This will help with sound reverberation (echo), which is noticeable, particularly when several conversations are taking place. We have contracted Media Pro who report: “We have calculated that the existing hall has a reverberation time (with the partition closed) of 3.0 seconds. Recommended RT60 in a room this size with the planned use (multi-purpose) would be 0.9 seconds.” The cost of the work, including VAT is £6,800. We are able to pay the 50% deposit now but need funds for the remainder before the work can commence. If you are in position to contribute towards the work you can give in the following ways:
➢ 1. A marked envelope in the collection plate
➢ 2. By direct bank transfer via internet banking to Fortrose Free Church bank account (please get in touch with Willie or Siobhan if you need the details)
➢ 3. If you are a regular giver to the General Fund moving some of your giving’s to the e.g. Fabric Fund for a limited period of time 2-3 months

The Kirk Session have decided to cancel our own prayer meeting and join the Healthy Gospel Area Prayer Meeting at Dingwall Free Church on Wednesday, 10th, September. 7pm for 7.30pm start. The vision of the Free Church of Scotland is for ‘A Healthy Gospel Church for Every Community in Scotland’. We recognise that we are completely dependent on God to bring about this vision. Therefore, our focus in 2025 is going to be on thanksgiving and prayer. Giving thanks to God for all that he has done among us in the last 5 years and praying for the next 5 years. We would love for you to join us at an Area Prayer Meeting at Dingwall Free Church on Wednesday 10th September. It will start at 7.30pm but doors will be open from 7pm with the opportunity for conversation and a cup of tea. We look forward to joining with you in prayer. In prayer we express our complete dependence on God. And we join together in prayer asking that we might indeed see A Healthy Gospel Church for Every Community in Scotland.
