Youth Lunch – The next youth lunch is on Sunday 6th October after the morning service. This year we are looking at “One Big Story”, and how the whole Bible points towards Jesus. Next week is Genesis 2 (plus revisiting Genesis 1). Thinking again about what it means to be made in the image of God, not just individually, but as community. All P6-S6 ages welcome. Thanks for continuing to pray for the youth and children in the church

Blythswood Shoe Box Appeal – This November our Youth Fellowship plan to fill shoe boxes for the annual Blythswood shoe box appeal. Each box is filled with small practical items including a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, sweets, toy/gift, scarf, gloves and hat and some underwear. If you are able to help us with donations of gifts or can give financially towards the Blythswood transport costs of the boxes, that would be very helpful. We plan to collect donations over the next few weeks, then the YF will meet on Saturday 2nd November at the church to wrap and pack the boxes.  Information leaflets with further details will be available soon. For further information speak to Sally or see https://blythswood.org/shoeboxappeal/

Joint Evening Service – Sunday 13th October 2024 – Dingwall Free Church will be hosting a joint service on the evening of 13th October, at 6pm. There will be no service in Fortrose on that evening.

Rev Dr Jangkholam Haokip (known generally as ‘Lamboi’ amongst his friends), will preach and after tea/coffee, he will do a presentation on the violent targeting of Christians in Manipur, North India. Lamboi, who is from Manipur, undertook his theological studies at the International Christian College, Glasgow. A Report to the International Freedom of Religion or Belief Alliance (IFRBA) last year identified that between 3 and 6 May 2023, over 100 Christians were killed, 228 churches destroyed and an estimated 60,000 Christians displaced. Lamboi will update us on the current situation.

Community Harvest Thanksgiving Service – Sunday 3rd November 2024, 2pm, Dingwall Free Church. This special service for the farming community will be led by Ferintosh & Resolis Free Church in association with Dingwall & Highland Marts Ltd.  It would be encouraging to see a large number attending from across the wider community.  Further updates to follow.

Amy McFarlane will be coming to speak at our midweek meeting on the 6th of November. She is a teacher at Fortrose Academy and runs the Christian Union there.
