Wednesday Prayer – There will be prayer in the manse every Wednesday at 1pm.
Summer Children’s Club – There will be a brief meeting for those who have volunteered to help with the Children’s club after the morning service. Please meet at the front of the church immediately after the service.
Youth lunch – Today, after the morning service at Nick and Ashlie’s house. We continue to look at the Bible as “one big story” thinking next about Israel in the wilderness. All aged P6-S6 welcome. Please continue to pray for growth for our young people and youth. Please also speak with Dave or Sal if you would like more details.
Christianity Explored – We plan to run a course about Christianity from the 24th of April. If you are a Christian and want to deepen your understanding of the gospel then this is for you. Equally so, if you are interested in what it means to be a Christian then this is also for you.
Mission meeting 26th March – Will Thorburn from London City Mission will be visiting us on Wednesday the 26th of March to share about his work with LCM in London.
Ladies Fellowship meeting – There will be an all-age Ladies Fellowship Evening on Thursday 27th March, 7.45pm in the church hall. Christine Mackenzie will speak for a short time, sharing stories and key Bible verses from her “life in a travel bag” while serving in ministry with her husband Finlay. This is mainly a chance to get together to be encouraged and inspired to continue living for Jesus in our everyday lives. There will be a cup of tea and a biscuit afterwards, as well as a collection for the WFM project this year. We would love to see all ladies from 5-105! This will be an informal meeting with time to chat and enjoy time together. Speak to Emma for any more details. Looking forward to seeing you all there.
Women’s Breakfast – Saturday 29th March, 9.30 – 11am, Fortrose Free Church. If you are a Christian woman living in Avoch, Cromarty, Rosemarkie or Fortrose, we’d love you to come along for breakfast, a blether and an opportunity to share our faith in an informal setting on Saturday 21st September. There will be a short talk from a member of the Church of Scotland congregation on their plans and challenges this year. Please feel free to invite friends from other churches or none. A voluntary contribution of £2 to cover costs is suggested. Hope to see you there!
Know your church – 30th March – Our next gathering will be next Sunday afternoon. We will enjoy a bowl of soup together after the morning service and then proceed with our interactive teaching session. Next week we will take a look at What Our Church is. We explore the meaning of words like Presbyterian and Reformed. There is a signup sheet at the door if you are interested.
GDPR/Congregational Directory – There are forms available at the door and in your emails for updating our Congregational Directory and for complying with GDPR. Please have all forms returned by Sunday March 30th.
Congregational lunch 6th April – The next congregational lunch will be on 6th April and anyone is most welcome to this. There will be sign-up sheets nearer the time. Cultural evening Sat 24th May – We plan to have an evening of food and fellowship on Saturday 24th May (a change to the date intimated last week). Message from the church deacons: Financial help with costs for camps – If any parents of children attending camps or leaders would like financial assistance with the cost of this year’s camps please email Rory.
