Woman’s Breakfast – If you are a woman living in Avoch, Cromarty, Rosemarkie or Fortrose, we’d love you to come along for breakfast, a blether and an opportunity to share our faith in an informal setting on Saturday 27th September, 9.30-11am, in Fortrose Free Church. We will hear a little about Toilet Twinning. Please feel free to invite friends from other churches or none. A voluntary contribution of £2 to cover costs is suggested. Hope to see you there!
Women for Mission – There will be a WFM stall at the North Kessock market in the village hall on Sat 27th Sept from 10-12.30, selling Harris Tweed items, pvc bags and jams for this year’s WfM project ‘Flourish’. Please come along to support this if you can. Thank you.
Acoustic Panels Appeal – The appeal has raised £5,082, which allows us to commence with the installation. Grateful thanks to everyone who gave generously to the appeal for funds.
Men’s Breakfast – 4th October, 9am. , If you are not planning on doing the Saturday Course please come and join us for some fellowship and breakfast in the Church Manse in Station Road. Afterwards, (10.30 am) there is some work needed done on the hedges on the property. Any able hands and chainsaws will be welcome.
Saturday Course – Fortrose Free Church is delighted to be hosting the Saturday Course from Edinburgh Theological Seminary (ETS), running monthly from October 2025 to May 2026. When: One Saturday morning each month. Time: 9:00am–12:30pm (tea and coffee on arrival, first lecture starts at 9:30am). Where: Fortrose Free Church. Dates: 4th October, 8th November, 13th December 2025, 17th January, 7th February, 14th March, 25th April & 9th May 2026. The Saturday Course is a series of engaging lectures on the Bible, theology, and Christian life, taught by ETS lecturers and designed for everyone — no prior study required. Each session includes recorded video lectures (with built-in Q&A from the lecturer in Edinburgh) and time for fellowship over tea/coffee together. Mission Meeting 8th October – A representative from Operation Mobilisation will come and speak to us about their work on Wednesday the 8th of October.
Joint evening service – There will be a joint evening service at the Congregational Church in Avoch on Sunday the 2nd of November.
Rota’s – We are looking for more volunteers for the Café & Blether Rota & the AV Rota. Please speak to Kirsteen (Café & Blether) or Iain (AV) if you are able to help, even on an ad-hoc basis.
